Writer's Block: Top of the Charts

What's the most-played song in your music library?

View 2053 Answers

Has to be Rabbit In Your Headlights by UNKLE (or the remix by Radiohead) - I play it on repeat a lot while doing homework, chilling out on the internet, and mostly while going to sleep, it really helps me fall asleep. *patiently waits for iTunes to open* ...Yeah, the remix by Radiohead and DJ Shadow has 464 plays on iTunes (and even more that isn't counted on my iPod) everything else on the Top 25 Most Played doesn't even reach 100 play count haha.

While I am here, I might as well post a few links to some free and legal music I found on this awesome website: Jamendo

First off, the metal music :D

Some awesome music - U.N.K.L.E. gods of techno electro music!

Starting with the best of the best:

Not only is the video odd and REALLY different, but the music stays with you for a really long time.

These are just a few examples of U.N.K.L.E.'s great musical talent. Check out YouTube for even more videos from this band (especially Burn My Shadow - it's brilliant!)

What are your favorite techno/electro songs or artists?

Read my original fiction 'Darkness'

Recently I have created a new Livejournal, [info]musesdestiny , as a place to post all my new original fiction. The first post in the journal is a short horror story, Darkness, about a hitman, Daniel, who wakes up in a body bag in the middle of a large body of water. Inspired by an episode of Seinfield (you know which one! ;) )

So check out the story, add my original fiction journal, and if you have any other journals that you want me to check out, post the links in the comments section. I am always looking for new reading material!

Random Ponderings

- Physics is awesome (of course) <3 If anyone wants to make me some awesome icons, feel free :)

- I should take up collecting rocks, except I have nowhere to put them. I <3 rocks.

- I really want to get Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time. Seems really interesting.

- When it comes to buying things, I can be either impulsive or indesicive. This will be a problem.

- 9 days till school starts back!

- So many professions I want to go after, I don't know which one to choose: Physicist, screenwriter, psychologist, video editor, game designer, author, archeologist... *sigh*

- Low budget sci-fi/fantasy movies rock!

- They should have physics/science/history lectures on the Discovery Channel. That would be AWESOME!

- Schrodinger's cat is dead... or alive.

That is all for tonight. I retreat to bed :)

SCRIBBLENAUTS ESRB SUMMARY - LMFAO

Platform: Nintendo DS

Rating: Everyone 10+

Content descriptors: Cartoon Violence, Comic Mischief

Rating summary: This is a puzzle game in which players navigate a series of traps, puzzles, and enemies to collect stars scattered throughout the colorful levels. Players have the ability to summon different objects by writing/typing in the word (e.g., bike, spaceship, lion) and watching it come to life. If multiple words are entered in a sequence, different whimsical scenarios can be triggered: a bicycle can be used to jump over a baby; a bulldozer can clear away a shark; and cabbage can be fed to dinosaurs. Players can elect to summon "cartoony" versions of bats, bombs, guns, and flamethrowers. These types of items can be used to destroy objects or even other summoned items (e.g., a club can be used to hit an animal; steak can be attached to a baby to attract lions; rockets can be lobbed at a man). These triggered animations are minimally depicted and are usually accompanied by popping, musical sound effects; bright, star-shaped flashes; or small puffs of smoke. If players wish to, they may type in the word vomit, which causes a beige-colored lump to appear on the screen.

Spurts of Geekness

I love it when moments like this happen. I have moments where I am absouletly geeking out over certain things - some geekier than others - and I feel rushes of joy surge though my body. It is a brilliant moment. As of now, my current geek filled obsessions include:
  • Star Trek
Because the new movie is coming out May 8th, and also because The Next Generation fan favorite episodes are being replayed Mondays on Sci-Fi (or SyFy as it will be soon called >.< ), I have decided to pull out my VHS copy of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. This brought up even more levels of geek filled squee - and I have not even finsished watching the movie yet :D My Kirk/Spock has already come out (of course), and I am anticipating the day when I can see Karl Urban and Simon Pegg together, on the big screen, playing in Star Trek roles alongside two promising actors whom will fulfill the roles of Captin James T. Kirk and Spock.
  • Star Wars
Of course, thinking about Star Trek, made me think of Star Wars, and so I had to watch a few scenes from my favorite of the six movies, Revenge of The Sith. Yes, I know there are flaws, but the climatic ending, plus Anakin, in his Vader outfit, screaming "NOOOOOOOO!" just brings everything home - with help by the amazing film score, of course.
  • Fringe
I have only seen a couple episodes of this new show, but I must say that it is a very different (in a good way) cop show. If you like the paranormal, OR cop shows, then you must watch this. Very cool, Dunbar is awesome :D
  • Legend of The Seeker
Made by the people that created and produced Xena & Hercules: TLJ. If that wasn't enough, then consider this: it is based on a fantasy series by Terry Goodkind, and it has two very amazing actors (who are both very purrty as well), plus a WIZARD, who was in Return of The King (I think). So anyway, go watch it. ...Now :DThere are more of course, but I will post about them tomorrow :)

So I Think I Have a Borderline Personality...

Wow this fits me to to a tee, check it out: Borderline Personality Disorder

"
  • Alternating clinging and distancing behaviors (I Hate You, Don't Leave Me). Sometimes you want to be close to someone. But when you get close it feels TOO close and you feel like you have to get some space. This happens often.
  • Great difficulty trusting people and themselves. Early trust may have been shattered by people who were close to you.
  • Sensitivity to criticism or rejection.
  • Feeling of "needing" someone else to survive
  • Heavy need for affection and reassurance
  • Some people with BPD may have an unusually high degree of interpersonal sensitivity, insight and empathy "
